Business Visas
Business and Official Visitors (up to 3 months stay)
The Business (Short Stay) (subclass 456) visa allows business people to make a short business visit to Australia for up to three (3) months during your visa validity period. Business activities may include attending a conference or training session, business negotiations, an exploratory business visit or establishing a business. This is also the appropriate visa subclass for official travel by government employees and government-sponsored delegations.

If you are sponsored by an Australian employer or organisation, you must lodge your visa application at the same office in Australia where your employer lodged papers to support your application. Please ask your employer at which office they lodged these papers. The Temporary Business (long stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship (subclass 457) visa is for employers who would like to employ overseas workers to fill nominated skilled positions in Australia. Applicants must be sponsored and applications must be lodged in Australia. Application for a Religious Worker visa (for a stay of up to 3 months) Documents required as part of the Religious Worker visa application Subclass 416 Special Program visa applications are lodged and processed at the Hobart Special Program Processing Centre. Subclass 420 Entertainment sponsorship and visa applications are lodged and processed at the Sydney Entertainment Processing Centre.
