Services for Australians Overseas
A key function of all Australian missions overseas is to provide services to Australians. The Australian Embassy in Tehran provides notarial and passport services (on a fee for service basis) and emergency consular assistance. Please see below for more information.

Notarial services, such as witnessing and certification of documents, are provided by the Embassy on a fee for service basis under the Consular Fees Act 1955. Embassy staff are not able to waive fees, which must be paid in Iranian Rials cash only. Please see below for more information regarding fees.
Clients may attend the Embassy from 10:00am to 12:00pm, from Sunday to Wednesday excluding public holidays. Appointments are not required for notarial services.
