TRANSIT VISAS
The Transit visa (subclass 771) allows non-Australian citizens to transit through Australia on their way to another country or to join a ship as crew. A transit visa is required even if a traveller remains in the aircraft at the Australian airport.s
The Transit visa is free of charge and allows the holder to enter and remain in Australia for up to 72 hours.
