Notarial Services

Notarial services, such as witnessing and certification of documents, are provided by the Embassy on a fee-for-service basis under the Consular Fees Act 1955. Embassy staff are not able to waive fees, which must be paid in Euro cash only. Please see here for more information regarding fees.

The Embassy's ability to provide notarial services is limited at this time. Please email [email protected] if you require notarial services and we will provide you with advice on the status of our provision of notarial services.

Before you make the appointment, you must ensure that you have read and understood all applicable requirements listed below.

Disclaimer: Please ensure that documents relating to the notarial services you require from the Australian Embassy are presented in the correct form and that you provide the correct instructions for the notarial service you require. If you are unsure of the legislative requirements relating to the notarial service you require, you should seek independent legal advice. Please note that neither the Australian Government nor the Australian Embassy Tehran guarantees the legal effectiveness of the notarised document or the accuracy of its content. Fees paid for notarial services are non-refundable.
